About These Terms

By completing your Booking or using our Platform, you confirm that you accept these Terms as well as any policies or additional terms provided during your booking process. These Terms take precedence over any prior agreements.

About Uzoefu

Uzoefu is an online and mobile application that connects you with tourism, attraction, and accommodation service providers. While we provide and maintain our Platform, the actual Experiences are offered directly by the Service Providers.

Our Platform

Our Platform aggregates information from multiple Service Providers. Although we take reasonable care to ensure accuracy, we cannot guarantee the completeness or correctness of the information provided. Errors will be addressed as soon as they are identified.

Prices

When you book an Experience, you agree to pay the advertised price—including applicable fees and taxes. Note that prices displayed may be rounded for simplicity.

Payment

Payment for Experiences may involve an upfront payment or payments made during the Experience. Some Service Providers may require a pre-authorized, non-refundable amount upon Booking. Currency differences between your payment method and the Service Provider’s currency may incur additional charges.

Please ensure that your payment details are accurate and report any discrepancies to your payment provider immediately.

Policies

By booking through our Platform, you agree to abide by the cancellation policies and other specific terms presented during the Booking process. Cancellation fees and refund conditions are determined by each Service Provider’s policies.

Privacy and Cookies

Our Platform collects anonymized data to monitor performance, understand user behavior, and optimize your experience. Communication between you and our Platform—including via chat and email—may be stored for customer support and security.

Accessibility Requests

Should you have any accessibility requirements related to our Platform or an Experience (e.g., wheelchair access, special accommodations), please contact our Customer Service team. For on-site accessibility during an Experience, contact the Service Provider directly.

Insurance

We do not offer or sell insurance through our Platform; therefore, these Terms do not cover any insurance-related services.

Rewards, Credits & Wallet

Our Rewards program allows you to earn Travel Credits, discounts, or vouchers based on your booking activity. Any rewards are subject to specific campaign criteria and are non-transferable. They remain stored in your Wallet until spent or expired.

Intellectual Property Rights

All content, technology, trademarks, and design elements on our Platform are the property of Uzoefu or our licensors. You are granted a limited license to access and use the Platform in accordance with these Terms and for its intended purpose.

What If Something Goes Wrong?

If you have a query or complaint regarding your Booking or Experience, please contact our Customer Service team using your booking confirmation details and any relevant supporting documentation. For South African residents, there is an option to escalate complaints via the Arbitration Foundation of Southern Africa.

Communication With the Service Provider

Although we facilitate communication between you and the Service Provider, we are not responsible for any actions, omissions, or responses by the Service Provider. Please direct specific queries to them where applicable.

Measures Against Unacceptable Behavior

We reserve the right to cancel or restrict your access to our Platform if you breach these Terms, engage in fraudulent behavior, or conduct activities that negatively affect our services or the experiences of others.

Limitation of Liability

Except in cases of negligence, fraud, or where liability cannot be excluded by law, neither Uzoefu nor any Service Provider is liable for any losses or damages incurred in connection with your use of our Platform. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Applicable Law and Forum

These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Depending on your location, disputes may be resolved in the courts of either your home country or South Africa, as applicable.

Modification Clause

We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time. In the case of material changes, we will provide advance notice. Continued use of the Platform following updates indicates your acceptance of the new Terms.
